More than 1 million children die every year in India alone due to malnutrition. 100 million children haven’t yet go to school. At the same time, the lack of social and moral support is increasingly increasing the trend of suicide among school children. Besides, due to rising single families, such children are also being victim of cyber bulling. A list of countries of the world has been released by Save the Children, where childhood is at the highest risk. India is ranked 116th behind neighbors Myanmar, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives in this list. This index has been prepared on the basis of performance on eight parameters including child health, education, wage, marriage, birth and violence. This report entitled ‘Stolen Childhood’ (‘Stolen Childhood’) is enough to tell the situation of children in the country.
